Google-Agent

## ABOUT THIS CRAWLER

Used by agents hosted on Google infrastructure to navigate the web and act on a user’s request.

**Usually means:** An AI agent is browsing your site on someone’s behalf, which may be more than just reading one page.

## USER AGENT

Google-Agent

We match these as user-agent tokens, not full browser strings. Providers may add surrounding version or product text.

## IP VERIFICATION

Verified when user agent and IP range both match

We first match the crawler’s user-agent token, then compare the request IP with the ranges published by the crawler’s operator.

1. User agentThe request’s user agent contains Google-Agent.
2. Request IPServer-side tracking forwards the IP address your server saw.
3. Range checkThe IP is compared with the operator’s published address ranges.

Sample IP ranges

- 136.121.16.0/24
- 136.121.24.0/21
- 136.122.0.0/16
- 2001:4860:c::/48

Showing up to 10 of 4 ranges, published 3 March 2026. The live list is fetched from the operator.
